About the latest song that spoke to my heart…I woke up early one morning, knowing I should get up and pray, but I laid my head back down on my pillow to catch a few extra zzz’s. Just as I was about to drift off for a snooze, I heard a voice in my spirit singing, “Are you washed in the blood? In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?” My antennas went up immediately, and I jumped out of my bed and ran to pray. It was one of the best prayer times I’ve had in a long time, and the best part is that the Holy Spirit’s presence was really powerful and amazing. Continue reading Communicating In Song
Are you under God’s authority or Satan’s authority? If you say neither, I beg to differ. Continue reading Who’s Authority are You Under?
I heard the Lord whisper these words to me: “The world is black.” It was not an audible voice, but His Spirit communicated with my spirit, and I “heard” it. Immediately, I knew what it meant and what He wanted me to do with it, but I began to overanalyze the thought. Was it even a relevant topic? I reasoned that everyone knows this already and that it is pointless to even mention it. I even thought that it meant something other than the original meaning that was given at the same time as the thought. Did God mean that “the world is black with sin”? What Is the Measure of Love?Part I
In part one, you discovered that true love that lasts a life time is possible if you are willing to have the right attitudes and practice certain behaviors. Those attitudes and behaviors that define love are:
patience, kindness, not envious, not boastful, not proud, not rude, not selfish, not easily angered, not thinking evil thoughts, not rejoicing in wrongdoing, rejoicing in the truth, bearing (enduring) all things, and believing all things. Continue reading “What Is the Measure of Love? Part II”
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” –Matthew 22:37-39 NET Bible
Happy Valentine’s Day!!! ❤❤❤
How do you measure love? Is it by the cost of what gifts you receive or the things that someone does for you? As we approach Valentine’s Day, I recall the first line of a poem that I first learned in my high school English class. It reads: “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.” (How Do I Love Thee? (Sonnet 43), Elizabeth Barrett Browning 1806-1861). Although this epic poem was written approximately 200 years ago, the question and its response are still worth considering. Instead of looking to understand or measure the depth of someone else’s love for you, you should examine your own heart to see how much and how well you love the people in your life. Your measure of love should be based on whether you truly love as you say you do or as you yourself want to be loved. Continue reading “What Is the Measure of Love? Part I”
