Are you under God’s authority or Satan’s authority? If you say neither, I beg to differ. God is sovereign and rules over all (including Satan); therefore, everyone is under authority. It doesn’t matter who you are in life, what group or organization you belong to, how much money you have, what car you drive, where you live, or where you’ve been. We are all under some type of spiritual authority, the guiding force in our lives.
As Christians, we are under the authority of Christ, who is the head of the church and should make sure that our major decisions are guided His Holy Spirit. Do not just leave the church or abandon the faith because you were offended or because someone made a persuasive argument that you should leave. You may run from one spiritual authority, but you’ll likely end up under the control of another.
