Sold Out

“…for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.”–1 Corinthians 6:20 (BLB)

So, I woke up this morning to a song playing in my spirit and it gave me courage and hope, especially since it coincided perfectly with my devotion for today. The song is called “I’m Available to You” by Milton Brunson. (See link at the end) Today’s devotion was from “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. When I read the devotion, I was like: “Wow, God. You’re so full of surprises. And how You answer prayer!  😯😭🤗🙌🏾

From “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

You see, just yesterday, I prayed for God to show me what to do. I told him that I wanted to glorify Him in all that I do and not simply be motivated by a desire for money or fame. I have many gifts and talents. However, I am often tempted to stray from the path that God is leading me in and have to say no to the many voices that tell me to do this or that or write a certain thing or another in order to make a “killing”.

While I do want to make a “killing” doing what I love, I realize that my steps are ordered by God, and He is my boss. I’ve already done so much without His approval and have learned many lessons, including the fact that God is in control and that His plan always prevails.

So, I have come to the point where I will not make a move unless God says “move”. Afterall, I was bought with a price, the blood of His son, Jesus Christ. In other words, I belong to God, and it is in Him I live, move and have my being.  (Acts 17:28)

Are you sold out to God? Or are you still doing what you want, regardless of what God thinks? Don’t know what God thinks? Just ask in sincerity, and wait. He will answer you in His own good time.
